The purpose of this blog is provide reliable information on general healthy living. Realistic nutrition and holistic health information so you can lead your fullest life.

Written by a physician and dietitian – No diets here. It’s time to get real and reject the diet mentality so you can be free. Nutrition.Health.Life is an educational platform for helping women lose the weight once and for all and become free.

After years (or decades) of calorie counting, restriction, and negative self-talk, you may think it would be impossible to ever feel free. Free to eat what you want. Free to be who you are without reservation. Free to love yourself, how you are RIGHT NOW. This might include weight loss, but that isn’t the focus. Once you take the focus away from weight, you’ll notice how amazingly free you feel.

Through this platform I hope to help you realize your complete life can be found right where you are. You don’t need to lose 20 pounds. You don’t need to follow a restrictive diet. You don’t need to get that promotion. You don’t need more time. What you do need is a new perspective. Something that goes against everything you were told – since everything that you were told has never worked long term.

You may already feel defeated and frustrated because you are a smart, successful woman but you can’t quite get this weight and diet thing figured out. You don’t need to feel this way! Give this a try and see what you think – what do you have to lose?

How to get started?

Generally I post new content weekly on my blog. A link to this is made available through facebook and instagram. I also post inspirational content throughout the week on instagram, which often (but not always) is routed to this facebook page. I am most excited about my facebook group, which I want to be a support system for women at all stages of this journey. Within that group I will be posting exclusive content and doing weekly facebook lives. PLUS there will be free challenges in the future!

Who Is Lynn Stiff, MD, RD, MS?

I am a board-certified family medicine physician and registered dietitian. 15 years ago I decided I was going to create a career where I could help others achieve health and wellness.

Over the years, my approach to nutrition and wellness has changed dramatically. Early on I was a firm believer that calories in equal calories out. That with enough willpower anyone can lose the weight and keep it off. With time and experience I realized the false hope this was providing. I saw how much harm it was causing to current and future generations.

I decided I could change the conversation by going to medical school and incorporating my philosophy into a primary care practice. I soon realized that this was an impossible feat in our current US healthcare system. The current medical model is reactive medicine instead of proactive medicine. I became discouraged and put my dream aside. I decided to become a hospitalist where I could use my medical knowledge to help people who were extremely ill.

While my work was rewarding, I still felt something was missing. I dreamed of a job where I could focus on the individual instead of the disease. I knew this job wasn’t mainstream and I wasn’t willing to wait around for someone else to craft it for me. With this, Nutrition Health Life, LLC was formed. A business rooted in my passion for helping others achieve health and prevent illness. One where individuals take a dive deep into how they have gotten to where they are and what they need to do to reach their goals.

I am so excited about the possibility of changing the lives of women across the country through online education and coaching models.

  1. I love your posts on all the goodies in our CSA boxes. I am also a CSA member and have been having a wonderful summer getting to know new foods. If you ever have any suggestions or ideas for using the CSA box, please let me know! This is our first year, so we are still getting the hang of it.
