It’s like the stars have aligned – the first day of August is the start of Kids Eat Right Month and happens to be my day to post about helping create a healthier next generation!
This month, focus on how you can be the best version of yourself for your kids and how you can help shape a positive environment for them to thrive. Weekly questions to ask yourself:
- What do I need to work on to be the best version of myself? Found a big goal? Ok now, pick 1 small thing and do it daily this week!
- What can I change in my home to help support a healthier lifestyle for my children? Pick 1 small thing and do it daily next week
- Noticing any difference yet? I bet you are! Ok, now ask your kids what they think would make your home happier and healthier. As a family, pick 1 small thing to change and do daily!
- Reflection time! Spend 20 minutes reflecting on your original intentions and the changes you made. What worked? What didn’t? What changes did you see? What sustainable change and you continue moving forward?
You got this mama! ❤
Need some amazing inspiration? As I’ve mentioned before, if you’re not following the Lean Green Bean, you NEED to start. She’s a dietitian and mom who walks the walk in the world of health AND is a great example of how to raise healthy, food-confident kids. I posted last week about cooking in the kitchen and shared a video of her son baking. Like legit baking. Her recipes are healthy, tasty, and kid-friendly. And I just saw she’s doing a 100 mile walking challenge with her kids this summer! All kids can thrive if their environment is set up in a way for them to succeed. If you’re looking for inspiration and motivation, head on over to the Lean Green Bean on her blog, facebook, or instagram!
